Christian Rosenmeier was born in Denmark in 1874. At the age of 14 he emigrated with his father to the United States, where they settled in Kandiyohi county Minnesota. Until the age of 21, Rosenmeier worked on the farm and herding cows, helping to earn the money to bring his mother and sister over from Denmark.
